Last year, Katie’s good friend Diana contacted us about designing a website for her. We were thrilled, because Diana is one of those incredibly creative people - she paints, she writes, she’s mom to three smart and funny girls...let’s just say we knew we were in for an awesome project. We launched her site in early January, and we want to share it with you. Her photos are so full of life, and we love the fresh green + white color scheme. (On a side note, Di launched another project this year - a blog called Front Yard Frontier. It’s all about building community in your neighborhood. We’re big fans.)

Getting married? Know someone who is? We design simple, modern, custom wedding invitations, and we have a special offer for you. This month only! Get in touch before February 29th, mention the February newsletter, and we’ll automatically deduct $50 from your design fee. Because we’re all about celebrating love.
...so we have decided to dedicate our next line of ready-made cards to a really beautiful shade of greenish blue, and call it “Ocean”. We’ll be printing all the cards on the offset press, on a really heavy white stock from French Paper. Here’s a peek at our inspiration board (have we mentioned how much we love Pinterest?) The Ocean line will be available in our Etsy shop by the end of the month.

Blogs have become such a big part of our collective lives over the last few years, don’t you agree? We thought we would share our blog addictions: blogs we read daily, and sometimes twice a day. (See if you can guess which favorite blog belongs to Katie and which belongs to Joel below.)
Simple Lovely. Joslyn hails from Northern California, but she and her family have made their home in Dallas. I'm not a big blog reader, but I have to admit I read Joslyn's blog religiously. As I told her in an email recently, she manages to be down to earth and glamorous at the same time, which in my book is a winning combination.
ISO50. This is a blog written by a guy from San Fransisco named Scott Hansen. Being more of a blog "looker" than a blog reader, I drool over his incredible photography as well as a great line of simplistic graphic tees for guys and girls. Scott has a great design aesthetic and I think the most attractive quality is this eerie science fiction quality his work exudes.

We participated in our first two craft fair over the holidays. Quite an adventure, and we were so happy to support two awesome local schools: The Museum School in Banker’s Hill at the Local Color Craft Fair, and McKinley Elementary in North Park at the SoNo Park Fest. (Post Box Press even made CityBeat’s Short List!) We brought a newsletter signup along to both fairs, with an added bonus! A giveaway! Tricia is our lucky winner! She’ll receive a sample pack from our new Valentine line.

One of our new favorite sources for fonts. This talented group of typographers, designers, artists and nerds (every design firm has at least one) produces some seriously top-notch typefaces in a pay-what-you-want business model. We are huge fans!
